I haven't Posted for a Very Long Time

I haven't posted in over 2 years because I couldn't get into the site.  I just signed up for s blog that uses google and to my surprise I'm able to post.  I'm still working on the Little SheepVirtues.  I'm going to Quilt Week at Sisters Oregon this July.  Less than a month away and I want to get them finished into the little pillows.  It's really time to be done.  I'll post what I get done there and the fun times the Woolies from Anacortes have while there.  We're staying with a friend who lives there.  Until next time keep stitching.

Stitch from Stash - February Update

Stitch from Stash update for February

HI Mel! I forgot to send you my numbers for February. I didn't do to bad; $26.85 for the month. I went over by $1.85! Maybe I'll stay at or under $25.00 for March. I only bought used charts during the month of February. I didn't buy anything during the $100.00 weekend splurge. Not a single pattern I wanted and the kits were so expensive for what you got.

I'm hoping that for the month of March I can stay at or even under budget. It certainly helps when the new charts and kits don't knock my socks off!

Stitching Smalls Update for January and February

These are the 2 charts that I was able to finish for the Stitching Smalls SAL! I also decided to use these charts all 12 of them in the Northwest Sampler Guilds Presidents Challenge for 2014. The challenge is to stitch and finish a project. Easy for some but not others. The challenge is to finish it yourself. Whether you frame it yourself or make it into a box or flat fold, pin cushion etc. I'm going to make these little stitches into mini pillows as they were shown on the chart photo. I have all I need to finish them and then I want to weave a special basket for them to be displayed in. Its a challenge that I can do but can I actually make myself finish it all. That's the real challenge for me. Wish me luck. I am working on a small chart now and have also finished another one so I am all set for March. Wow it feels so good to be ready before the deadline even gets close to approaching. I'm sorry about the shadows in my photos. I just don't have a great place for picturing taking. The shadow is my cell phone. I have misplaced my camera and have no idea where to look since its not where I last used it.

Till next time happy stitching to everyone!

Good Monday Afternoon

Good Monday Afternoon!

I've been working on this project since November 2013.  It totally amazes me that something so small can take so long to stitch. The chart is Gingerbread Fun and the designer is Joan Elliott. I love the happy faces on her designs but she does like to change thread colors often.

Next I will be stitching on the "Little Sheep Virtue's" by Little House Needlework. I also have the calendar girls to start. I also need to get a UFO out and finish it. Oh and I signed up to do a SAL.  The idea of a stitching rotation is starting to make sense to me now.

Have a lovely day doing whatever you love doing.

Emma's Quilted Jacket & Pill Box Hat

Yesterday I met some of my Chihuahua Rescue friends in Everett to see Nataly and Barry's new baby girl. Emma is a miracle baby! She is beautiful too. I worked on this jacket for 9 days. I had the fabric and everything needed because this was originally for my 3rd granddaughter. He sister never wore her jacket so I didn't make one for her. After lunch yesterday we went over to Hobby Lobby. They had the cutes white daisy buttons. I love the bows but they are a pain to make and sew on to the jacket. Nataly cried when she saw the jacket and hat. I think she liked it.

A New Start

A New Year a New Blog!

Finally decided to start a new blog since I haven't been able to post to my original blog since April 12, 2013! That's crazy but true.

To start off the new year I joined Mel's Challenge to stitch from my stash for a whole year. We are only allowed to spend $25.00 a month which is for supplies to finish what we are working on out of our stash! I've failed the first month already. I will be kicked out off the challenge by next month. I've no will power. Most of what I have purchased has  been on the Facebook groups. I have sold many charts and a lot has been purchased with that money. They are older charts and some very nice fabrics. But that's not allowed. I've actually lost track of the amount I've spent. I will have to take my free pass for the month of January. That's the only free pass I get for the whole year. No prizes for me!

Some finishes from 2013

Next I'm going to add some of my finished projects since last April 2013. Maybe I'll even add others. We'll see how far I get.
The first picture is the Lizzie Kate Mystery "Very Scary". I started it in August of 2012. I stitched less than a fourth of the first section. And couldn't get into it. Last August I picked it back up and finished it the end of October 2013. It was professionally framed and its beautiful. I didn't get a very good picture. There are no wrinkles in it. I'm sorry I've posted such a bad picture.

The second picture is one of the Four Season's Baskets from Imaginating.
I have 3 to go. I started the Summer Basket but lost my place. I will be pulling it out soon to get it finished.

The third picture I can't remember what its called or the designer. I love cardinal's they are my favorite bird. That was my second box finish.

SmallsSAL2014
Hey here's a SAL that I think I can do!
I just found this one and signed up. I
hope to get many small charts stitched for
Christmas ornaments and small gifts for
Christmas this year. Oh did I say that?

Well this is all for today. I hope to be able to get back into this blog and see if I can remember how to set it up the right way. Otherwise well this is it.
